Why You’ll Love This Spicy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Parmesan Chicken

Fancy a make-at-home version of take-out meal? These spiced up hot chicken cutlets are a twist on some of my spicy garlic Parmesan Chicken, which comes with delicious crispy fried chicken dredged in a buttery sauce filled with fresh garlic and parmesan and just the right amount of fire to get your blood pumping!

If you are looking for a weeknight meal elegant enough for entertaining on the weekends, this one-skillet chicken dinner from prep to plate in 30 minutes or less is your answer.

Ingredients for Spicy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Make the chicken cutlets. 1. 5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast

½ cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt/pepper to taste

2 Tbsp olive oil + 1 Tbsp butter

Spicy Garlic Parmesan Sauce

Creamy Parmesan Sauce

2 tbsp unsalted butter

5 cloves of fresh garlic, minced professional

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes or Calabrian chili oil, to taste

¾ cup low-sodium chicken broth

¾ heavy cream or half-and-half

Parmesan cheese fresh-grated, ¾ cup

Garnish: Fresh parsley Lemon wedges

Step-by-Step Instructions

Pound chicken Breast into 12-inch-thick cutlets. Flour and spices Fill a shallow dish Flour + matching spices MIX GARLIC POWDER + PAPRIKA to start, then in flour One-by-one dredge every cutlet in seasoned flour Shake excess off

Spray 1 tb oil and  to cover, heat in a large frying pan over moderate-high for until golden. Heat a little olive oil in a fry pan & cook chicken for 4-5 minutes each side until golden (Cooked). Then transfer to a plate.

Melt the garlic & spice base: Return burner heat to medium and add in your remaining butter. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes (to taste) casserole, Saute until fragrant 1 minute taking care not to burn your garlic.

Deglaze the pan: Pour chicken broth in the pan. SCRAPE ALL brown bits from bottom of pan. Mix in the cream and cook until slightly thickened, about 3 minutes.

Step 3 Stir in Cheese: Reduce the heat and whisk the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, a little at a time, over low heat until melted and smooth. Place chicken back in the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over top. Top with some freshly chopped parsley and dig in!

Expert Tips & Tricks – For Maximum Impact

Buying Pre-Shred Cheese: Grated canned or bagged cheese are coated with anti-caking chemicals, so when melted into a cream sauce the entire cheese does not distill. Grated Parmesan straight from the block.

Heat Management: Heat level management: for less heat use 1/2 tablespoon of red pepper flakes; if you really want it spicy, increase the quantity of chili flakes to about 2 tablespoons or stir in one tablespoon sriracha hot sauce or Calabrian chili paste.

Your skillet won’t be big enough for all the cutlets, so sear them in batches—don’t crowd the pan. That is also the reason, even though they’re all packed tightly together, the chicken will steam in there rather than develop a lovely crispy crust.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Using the cold garlic Parmesan chicken method, this dish can also be prepped ahead of time.

Yes! Other Notes: Leftovers keep in the fridge, in an airtight container, for up to 3 days. Warm on low in a frying pan with some suitable broth or cream.

Cook Anytime: Garlic Parmesan Chicken Recipe What to Serve Along with Garlic Parmesan Chicken

That happens, as well on top of some fettuccine, garlic butter rice or even decadent mashed potatoes. Serve with for a low carb side roasted asparagus, steamed broccoli or zoodles.

I have also swapped out for skin-on chicken thighs in place of breast meat.

Absolutely. The boneless skinless chicken thighs are the best choice here and stay moist. You add an additional 2-3 minutes of cooking on each side at the skillet.
